The Detroit Area Winds, is a newly formed Metro Detroit based ensemble with some of the finest young players in the area. The initial purpose behind forming the ensemble was merely to give musicians an outlet to play during the summer months. With the growing interest of musicians and venues, the ensemble may grow to something much more than merely an outlet.
The musicians of Detroit Area Winds have been hand picked. They are hard working and dedicated to the musical craft. It is not an audition based group as of yet; however, as things progress the hope is to be one of the elite ensembles in Metro Detroit.
